Measures the indoor summer thermal environment parameters including air temperature and relative humidity of the rural residences in the middle region of Hainan, and analyses the data by the statistical method. The results show that the comfort sensation is mainly influenced by the temperature and wind speed, and nonrelated to the relative humidity. The thermal neutral temperature of occupants in this region is 27.3 ℃, the upper limit value of acceptable temperature is 30.2 ℃, the expectation temperature is 26.4 ℃, and the heat resistance of occupants is stronger. There are various ways of regulating indoor thermal environment in this region, and the frequency of each regulating is obviously different.
